South Carolina clients usually come to us with one of three problems: a busy building where people come and go all day, a large site that runs three shifts or sits empty overnight, or a property that fills up with visitors during the tourist season. Here is how each service fits.
Posted security officers, armed and unarmed
Unarmed officers cover front desks, lobbies, access points and building rounds in hotels, offices, medical buildings, apartments and stores. Armed officers are for sites with cash handling, high-value product or a real history of violent incidents. We will tell you plainly which one your Columbia, Charleston or Greenville site needs, and we will not push armed coverage where it is not called for.
SecureOne officers come from military, law enforcement or security backgrounds. Each completes required and site-specific training, works alongside a field supervisor until ready, and is First Aid and CPR certified.
Mobile patrol

A patrol officer visits on a set schedule or at random times, checks doors, gates, docks and fence lines, locks and unlocks buildings, and responds to alarms. Patrol vehicles carry GPS Insight live tracking and in-car 360-degree cameras, and you get a patrol report by email every day. For warehouses between shifts, office parks and lots that empty out at night, patrol often covers the risk for far less than a full-time post.
Solar camera trailers
Where there is no power and no staff, a solar-powered camera trailer provides 24/7 remote monitoring. Units include live monitoring, motion-activated alerts, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, talk-down audio through an onboard speaker and a backup power system. They work well on construction sites, trailer yards, parking lots and the far corners of large properties.
Off-duty police officers
Some posts need a police officer, not a security officer. In those cases SecureOne can provide off-duty and recently retired police officers in good standing, each background checked, trained in SecureOne's force policies, and certified in CPR, AED and First Aid.
Event and short-term security
Summer crowds on the Grand Strand, festival weekends, football Saturdays, a short construction phase or a sudden problem can all call for extra officers for a few days or weeks. SecureOne staffs armed and unarmed short-term posts, and provided more than 80,000 manhours of short-term and event security in 2019 alone.
South Carolina industries and what officers do there
Distribution centers and freight yards
Truck check-in, trailer and seal checks, dock control and interior rounds between shifts.
Manufacturing plants
Badge checks, contractor sign-in, visitor escorts and after-hours checks of production areas and yards. For larger plants, SecureOne's industrial security services cover access control, shift change coverage and plant rounds.
Hotels and resorts

Lobby coverage, guest floor rounds, pool and parking lot patrols, and calm help with difficult guests during the busiest weeks of the year.
Retail stores and shopping centers
Officers keep an eye on the floor and the parking lot and stay easy to talk to. If a theft or confrontation happens, they de-escalate and call the police. They do not chase anyone.
Construction projects
Roving patrols and camera trailers that protect tools, materials and equipment from theft and trespassing.
Offices, medical buildings and apartments
Front desk staffing, visitor management, lock-up, escorts to parking and patrols with reports managers can share.
How your account is managed
You will not have to chase anyone for information. Reports, photos and patrol checks are posted in Vision InSites, SecureOne's real-time security reporting platform, as they happen. Your account has one point of contact available 24/7 and the 24-hour dispatch center behind it. Field supervisors inspect posts at no additional cost, and WinTeam keeps scheduling and billing accurate. On site, officers wear a tan shirt, black hat, black pants and black shoes.
